Chandrababu Naidu's big palm in Andhra Pradesh, Jagan Reddy concedes defeat



Chandrababu Naidu, whose TDP, as part of the NDA alliance, is on course to wrest Andhra Pradesh from Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSRCP, is likely to take pledge as the Chief Minister on June 9.


Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo Chandrababu Naidu, who leads the NDA alliance in Andhra Pradesh with the BJP and Pawan Kalyani's Jana Sena party, is on the way to the fray.. the southern state from the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party( YSRCP) led by Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.


The TDP has won 115 seats and is ahead in 19 of the 175 seats in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, while the Jana Sena Party has 21 seats and the BJP has 8, taking the total alliance census to 163. The YSRCP, which queried alone, is leading in 12 seats



Naidu is likely to take the pledge as Chief Minister on June 9 in Amaravati, sources told India Today.



Following the result, Jagan Reddy, who conceded the defeat, submitted his abdication to Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer.


Addressing the media, the gregarious Chief Minister said," Do not know what went wrong for us, but I unfeignedly served people. I've given a voice to the speechless. All the stylish to those who have won," the YSRCP chief said.


He also held an internal meeting of the YSRCP to take stock of the current situation.


Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu had a converse with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah following the NDA alliance's astral performance in Andhra Pradesh. The TDP chief complimented both PM Modi and Shah on the alliance winning the maximum number of seats.


PM Modi and Shah also complimented Chandrababu Naidu for which the TDP principal thanked them.


The India Today- Axis My India exit bean had projected a huge palm for the NDA alliance in Andhra Pradesh assembly choices, with the TDP- BJP- JSP pact anticipated to win 98 – 120 seats. At the time of writing this report, the alliance had won three seats and was ahead in 157 constituencies. The ruling YSRCP was prognosticated to secure between 55 and 77 seats. The results marked a strong comeback for the TDP, who suffered a enervating blow by a important youngish Jagan Reddy in the former choices.
