Teamsters decline to plump Trump or Harris
WASHINGTON( NEXSTAR) – Former chairman Donald Trump will return to the nation’s capital Thursday to speak about antisemitism.
Vice President Kamala Harris will be in the pivotal state of Michigan. In a blow to both juggernauts neither is getting the countersign of a major union group.
This is a major blow to both Trump and Harris who were hoping to get the coveted countersign from the Teamsters union.
The International Brotherhood of Teamsters, a major labor union, says it's staying out of the presidential race.
“ It’s not a vote of no confidence for anybody. It’s just a vote. It’s a position that we took because both campaigners did n’t commit to the core issues that we need to get fulfilled, ” said Teamsters President Sean O’Brien.
It’s the first time in nearly three decades that the union has not championed a presidential seeker.
"We're taking over New York," Trump said.
Former chairman Donald Trump was ate by a friendly crowd on Long Island, New York Wednesday night.
“ And with affectation, eating your hearts out. Vote for Donald Trump, ” said Trump.
In Washington, Harris is trying to win the Latino vote, censuring Trump’s plans to deport every emigrant in the U.S. immorally.
“ Now they've pledged to carry out the largest expatriation, a mass expatriation in American history. Imagine what that would look like, ” said Harris.
Harris is hoping to rally choosers on an issue she believes is a palm for her, reproductive rights.

Thursday night, the vice chairman will join Oprah in Michigan for a livestream event.
