Three killed as collaborative violence flares in Nuh, spreads to Gurgaon

Three persons, including two home guards, were killed and several persons injured in clashes that broke out on Monday during a procession taken out by the Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad( VHP) in Haryana’s Nuh.




As collaborative violence burned in the quarter, internet services were suspended, prohibitory orders were assessed, and the state Home Minister sought fresh forces from the Centre, claiming that “ 3,000- 4,000 people were being held hostage in a tabernacle ”. They were vacated late in the evening.

By evening, violence had spread to Sohna Chowk near Gurgaon, with some vehicles set on fire and shops vandalised, allegedly by Bajrang Dal members. Chief Minister M L Khattar appealed to people to maintain peace. “ The kind of situation that has surfaced in Nuh makes it indeed more important for all the people of the state to be more responsible and insure brotherhood, ” he said. “ All the issues can be resolved by way of addresses. nothing should indulge in transferring/ circulating any wrong information/ dispatches. nothing is above the Constitution of India. ”

The yatra, which started at Nalhar tabernacle in Nuh, had authorization, said a quarter administration officer. The actors left for Ferozepur Jhirka around 1 pm, boarding motorcars, buses and bikes. Roughly 1,000 police labor force were stationed at three spots along the route.

In another order, fresh District Magistrate, Nuh, Renu Sogan, assessed Section 144 in the area.

As the violence spread, INLD’s Abhay Chautala indicted the BJP- JJP coalition government in Haryana of not taking acceptable preventative action despite apprehensions of law and order dislocation in Nuh.
